IAMTN Announce Appointment of New Managing Director

The International Association of Money Transfer Networks is pleased to announce that Leon Isaacs has accepted the position of Managing Director for the Association.

Leon, who is CEO of the remittances and development services business Developing Markets Associates Ltd, has over 16 years experience of working for a number of money transfer companies including MoneyGram and Coinstar. He has been an Advisory Board member of IAMTN since the formation of the Association and has been its representative on the World Bank and G8's Private Public Partnership Steering Group. In addition he is a steering group member of the DFID supported UK Remittances Task Force.

Leon will begin his role at the MTL conference in London on 17 and 18 November 2008. Commenting on his appointment Leon said 'I am delighted to accept this position. There is increasing interest from a wide range of stakeholders in the money transfer industry and the need for a body that represents the interests of money transfer companies is more paramount than ever. IAMTN has already achieved a lot in a short period of time and I hope that in the future we can add more value to the businesses that operate in this very challenging arena and ultimately to all those people who transfer money back home to support their families. I would like to see IAMTN increase its activities in the key areas of interest to its members and continue to develop its role as a thought leader.'
