Vodafone and Afric Xpress to launch mobile money transfer and mobile payment services in Ghana

Mobile operator Vodafone and mobile financial services provider Afric Xpress are partnering to deliver SMS based mobile payment services in Ghana. Vodafone mobile subscribers will be able to use the txtnpay service from Afric Xpress to purchase airtime via SMS, as well as pay bills and transfer money to other mobile subscribers.

IAMTN: Ghana is a bit of sleeping giant in the mobile space but this may help to address that issue.
